Kismet Cloudshark Utility

Kismet Android PCAP and CloudShark Uploader Apps

Kismet is an 802.11 layer2 wireless network detector, sniffer, and intrusion detection system. Kismet identifies networks by passively collecting packets and detecting standard named networks, detecting (and given time, decloaking) hidden networks, and infering the presence of nonbeaconing networks via data traffic. This can now be done on Android phones and tablets running version 4 (ICS) or higher and Wi-Fi cards that use the RTL 8187 chipset using the Kismet Android PCAP app.

When you have performed a capture using this application, you can then use the Android Cloudshark Uploader to directly upload your captures from your Android device to CloudShark.org or your own CloudShark Appliance. When the Uploader is installed, you will see a CloudShark option under the Android "share" function, just as you would share other files such as pictures. The CloudShark Upload option will also appear in most Android file managers.

You can obtain both the Kismet Android PCAP and CloudShark Uploader Apps for free through the Google Play store.
